"Horry County Schools officials are aiming this week to set the date for students to make up the day missed last month due to the threat of severe weather. Superintendent Rick Maxey said Monday that he’s meeting with area principals Wednesday to discuss a day for students to make up school missed Feb. 24 when severe wind was expected to hit the Grand Strand. The district is expected to finalize a make up day by the end of this week, Maxey said."
